About Jules

I go out walking the dog and cycling and take my camera with me, then paint and draw what I see. Art is supposed to be fun and inspirational, I have to be inspired, if I did it because I was sticking to briefs and tight deadlines I don't think I'd be doing it. My art style 'Emotive landscapes', particularly nocturnal 'dark', 'atmospheric' and 'spooky'. I use my own photographic references, sometimes I just create stuff out of my head. I like 'moonlit scenes' luminance, lighting and long shadows.
